Directed Retreats
A Directed Retreat begins with registration at 5:00 P.M. followed by dinner at 6:00 P.M. It ends at 10:00 A.M. on the last day. Directed Retreats are adapted to each retreatant. As an experience of personal prayer based on Scripture, it calls for receptivity to the movements of the Spirit and the capacity to discuss one’s prayer with the director. Except for a daily meeting with the director, the day is spent in prayer and quiet. Opportunities for the sacrament of reconciliation are available.
Directed Retreats are open to laity, religious and clergy. Directed retreatants are accommodated in single rooms with private bathroom. Flexible accommodations regarding scheduling are possible for those who are unable to register for the entire retreat. The Music Ministry is provided by Donald Champagne, SVD. When qualified personnel are available, arrangements are made for massage therapy, to be paid by those requesting a session.
