RELIGIOUS LIFE INTO THE FUTURE

September 14 – 19, 2008 Facilitator: Barbara Fiand, SND Cost: $450.00 During our time together we will try to touch the depth dimension of our life as religious. We will look at the paradigm shift that is affecting cultural as well as religious consciousness and is beckoning us beyond the boundaries created by institutional dualism into a life-giving future. For this reason we will explore holistic spirituality as the foundation for a renewed understanding of the vows and differentiate it from the dualism that for so long has been the underpinning of the values by which we attempted to live. We will look at the meaning of consecration as rooted in our Baptism and explore each of the vows within that context. We will look for the questions that lead us into the mystery, into creativity as well as surrender to the Holy. This experience is for those willing to ask the difficult questions, to free themselves, and to embrace the new. This retreat ends after lunch on the 19th.
