SPIRITUAL LEMONS: Writing Midrash as a Spiritual Practice
March 24, 2012 10:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. This retreat day will focus on biblical women and their hidden voices in the Bible. We will also access our own hidden or buried voices. The idea behind Spiritual Lemons is that God blesses what we would condemn, or declare a "lemon". Lemony issues are not exclusive to women, therefore men, who also have rich inner stories and plenty of "lemons" are most welcome. It promises to be enlightening for couples, too. THE HEART OF CREATIVITY: CONTEMPLATION, ART AND MYSTERY
July 22 - 27, 2012 5 Nights This retreat presents to the participants a method of meditation that can enable them to develop a contemplative stance towards life. During our time together, we will explore correct looking as a form of prayer; the place of surrender in prayer and the Christian life; "wounds of the heart" that may arise in this meditation, and the mystery that surrounds us and the Christ who encounters us in prayer. Hopefully, the participants will begin to see with the eyes of an artist. No artistic experience necessary. Use the GUIDED RETREATS Registration.
